About the event
Interested in a change of scenery and an opportunity to expand your network? Welcome to Break Room, a series of pop up gatherings for remote professionals in marketing, media, and entertainment. For a day, we become coworkers and confidantes, sparking genuine connections designed to last long after we close our laptops.
Break Room on November 18th will focus on Personal Branding for folks juggling multiple passions and professional identities. The day will kick off with an interactive discussion featuring Tiffany Hardin, CEO & Founder of Gild Creative Group & Represent and Patrick Custer, Media Personality, Storyteller & Entrepreneur of The Patrick Custer Show and Rooted Recovery Stories. As a group, we'll discuss the journey and challenges associated with defining who we are of defining who we are beyond our job titles—whether as entrepreneurs, working parents, or artists. Over lunch, we'll mingle & swap stories, and in the afternoon, you'll have the option to refine an elevator pitch or LinkedIn bio/headline.
Throughout the day, a photographer will be on site taking free, high-quality headshots.

Our speakers:

Tiffany is a creator economy expert, entrepreneur, and educator known for transforming how brands work with influential voices. As Founder & CEO of Gild Creative Group, she’s led high-impact influencer strategies for brands like Hulu, Rocket Mortgage, Microsoft, and Target—bridging culture, content, and commerce. She also leads Represent, a tech-enabled platform helping serious creators scale through expert matchmaking, community and opportunities.
Patrick is a Nashville-based media personality, national speaker, and advocate with more than a decade of experience in mental health marketing, addiction recovery advocacy, and LGBTQ+ activism. After launching his own production company, Patrick Custer Media, LLC, he created The Patrick Custer Show, a storytelling series where entertainers and influencers share the human moments behind their public lives. He previously hosted the award-winning podcast Rooted Recovery Stories and developed Mind Amendment, both known for encouraging listeners to break cycles of trauma, question conventional thinking about healing, and believe that transformation is possible.
Work Friends facilitates gatherings for professionals to bond over shared values and challenges, run by Meredith Jacobson. After a decade in influencer marketing and brand consulting, Meredith realized her favorite part of the work was never simply the work itself — it was the people. She launched Work Friends to create environments for professionals to show up as themselves, share their experiences, and walk away with something more long-lasting than a business card.
